Weather Unit 10/8-10/16

It's time to learn about the weather.

• Students will learn to talk about the weather.
• Students will read and listen to interpret weather related discussions and reading selections.
• Students will present information about weather and hold conversations about the weather.

Revision to body unit

The body unit test will take place on Monday to allow for additional review. Students will be assessed on listening, reading and writing.
We will begin weather on Tuesday. Students will receive vocabulary on Monday following the unit test.

Words to discuss how you feel

This week we will study words to discuss how we feel. We will learn to talk about feeling sick, aches, and pains. We will also learn to ask how someone feels and tell them they should go to see a doctor or nurse. Click vocabulary link  for vocabulary (yellow highlighted vocabulary is very critical)

We will have a test over this unit on Thursday. 
Friday we will have a mini unit on Weather.

Week of 9/22/14

The current unit is Body Parts and describing appearance. We will also learn phrases to talk about illness.

Students are writing a short story about creatures they create. They will record themselves reading them and it will be turned into a fun video.

We are learning about classroom items and phrases used to express what you need or have in the classroom.
There is a vocabulary quiz on Thursday.Students are engaged in daily listening, reading, speaking and writing . It is important for them to review vocabulary nightly.

On Friday we will have a unit test that will cover Geography, Greetings and Courtesy Expressions, Time and Date.
It will be multiple choice, matching, and will include reading, listening and writing.

The first speaking test is due by Friday August 29, by 11:59 PM.      678-337-1812.
Students will call and leave a message with the following:

• Students will greet me
• Students will tell me their name.
• Students will tell me the day, date and time of their call.
• Student will tell me their age.
• Students will tell me their birthdate.
• Students will tell me where they are from (state or country) and where that is located geographically(continent).
• Students will ask me a question of their choice related to the details shared with me.
• Students will say goodbye.
